Privacy
Your location
During navigation, MapSmith uses your location on your iPhone, including in the background while guidance is active. Location access stops when you end navigation.
Routing, maps and search
- Route requests send your starting location, destination and routing options to our maps provider, Stadia Maps.
- Search requests send your query and, for nearby results, a location bias.
- Map requests reveal the area being viewed.
- These providers also receive technical information such as your IP address; their own privacy and retention policies apply.
What MapSmith keeps
MapSmith does not maintain server-side navigation history. Saved places, recent destinations and your map styles are stored on your iPhone and you can delete them in the app.
Purchases
Apple and RevenueCat process Style Kit purchases and entitlements. RevenueCat receives purchase-related information and an app user identifier. MapSmith never receives your payment-card details.
